When we heard Bristol press Lurid Editions were publishing Brophy’s 1969 novel In Transit, we just had to get our hands on a proof – and now we’re delighted to share early copies with you!
If, like us, you’re a fan of satirical feminist writing, you’ll have fun reading this. Set in one of those most transient of spaces and rich with metaphor and humour, this playful and camp novel is an early example of trans, non-binary literary fiction.
We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we did – all the better if you find yourself at an airport this spring.
