Beyond excited to see Good Book Club spotlighted in my Saturday broadsheet of choice. But even more than that, it’s wonderful to see new members joining, and becoming part of our community.
With Good Book Club, I’m uncompromising in the books we send out - it will always be independently published, because that’s where I believe the most interesting and daring fiction finds its home. It will often be in translation, because I want to share books written with diverse perspectives from different corners of the globe. And they will always be distinctly feminist at the core, because the patriarchy is still so pervasive, and books have the power to shift that.
All of the above adds up to something distinctly un-commercial in many ways. So to see us featured in a national newspaper is beyond exciting.
