About the author
Jurga Tumasonytė is a prose author and interviewer. Her debut short prose book, ‘Dirbtinė muselė’ (Little Artificial Fly), received the Kazimieras Barėnas Literary Award. ‘Undinės’ (Mermaids), her second collection of short stories, was nominated as one of the best books of the year and won the Jurga Ivanauskaitė Literary Award as well as being listed in the Top 12 most creative books of 2019. She was awarded the Antanas Vaičiulaitis Literary Award for the short story Karalystė Kingdom and her debut novel, ‘Remontas’ (Renovation), was published in 2020. Her second novel, ‘Naujagimiai’ (Newborns), was published in 2023.
